Tacit Nox !!

It was saturday and i was feeling insomnic, and i had more reasons to feel so. I wrote this poem bits by bits all night as i kept reading.I'm afraid it's not become too long to read as a few friends complain on the length. i've kept the length moderate and bothered very less about the rhyme sceme and concentrated more on the content and what happened throughout the night.

It's past midnight,the whole world -
probably resting and sleeping sound,
me in my pajamas trying to still fit into the bed-
i turn left, i turn right -   bound with book in hand,
I wonder should i read, should i not;
with my sister snoaring off to sleep, i feel left out.
I turn the lights on, and look around
The park with its trees and green grass
branches moving and faint light appear to haunt,
I go to the other window, everyone in the neighbourhood - was fast asleep.
what would I do, I closed the book, switched the light off
involuntarily I was led to the hall, I looked out of the window
the road was dead and completely silent,
the coconut tree moved with the wind, but i couldn see the moon
it probably was a cloudy night with few stars which were'nt bright
I threw myself on the sofa, i could hear absolutely nothing,
not even the wind as all the windows were tightly shut and latched.
i folded my hands and sqeezed myself
and held my arm tight with my fingers, n' took a deep breath.
wait i heard something, was that for true or was i imagining
i heard a baby's cry, i felt so good as the silence of the night was finally broken
it should be one of the twins from ground floor, i sighed
the cry split the silence, and it went on getting louder
I opened my book, started to read the pages
the cry went on as i read through, and took breaks in between
now its about time for the sun to rise and play his part
and i wonder should i sleep, or should i sleep not.
